Master Cylinder

Well, I am currently on the Master Cleanse. For those of you who do not know what that is, it's basically water, fresh lemon juice, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper - more commonly referred to as lemonade. You're supposed to drink only the aforementioned beverage for 10 days straight, combined with a herbal laxative tea at night, and 4 cups of salt water (by far the worst part of the cleanse) in the morning. Then, juices on the 11th and 12th days, soup on day 13, and back to solid food and "good" eating habits on day 15. This time I went 15 days on the lemonade, and just started back on juice yesterday. I caught a groove about day seven and just rode it.

The most interesting thing about it is how much you realize eating is much more habit than hunger. When I thought about food, I was more disappointed than hungry - disappointed that I couldn't go eat, because it was time. It's almost like food has become more of an addiction in our lives than a necessity. These are the thoughts you have 16 days in. I feel like I could go SEVERAL more days, but I don't want to push it. I'm not tired (going to the gym 3 times a week and working). I'm not uncomfortable. My mind is really clear. Thing is, if I go much longer, I may decide not to come back... muhuHaHAHA
