Hey Everybody

By now I’m sure you have all heard about the tragic incident in Rhode Island last night. I have already received several calls and emails of concern for my well-being. Enough to warrant me posting this to assure you that I wasn’t there and am okay. Your concern is well-appreciated. It is good to know who my friends are and that I have so many.

My heart goes out to my friends in the band and the fans in Rhode Island. I did play with Great White at that very club in 2000 and remember it well. In fact, here are a few pics of me at that gig. The one thing I remember about the club itself was the very low ceiling (see pics), which I’m sure contributed to the fire and smoke filling the room so quickly. A club representative was saying that the club could hold 300, but if I remember right, the majority of the space was at the back of the club away from the stage. The performance part of the room itself is fairly small, so I am not surprised that people would have a hard time getting out. When I played with the band there, we were not using pyrotechnics of any kind, and it is my opinion that with that low ceiling, there should not have been any last night. Obviously, hindsight is 20/20.

My biggest concern now is for Ty Longley, the guitarist who replaced me in the band, and is still missing. I have met and talked with Ty several times, and he is a very personable guy. I really like him, and I hope and pray that he is okay.

Anyway, that is all for now. Just wanted to post and let everyone know that I am okay and to thank you for your concern.
