Hey Everybody,

Been on the road for about a week and a half. The second day we were out was Oklahoma City, and it was snowing, in April! Talk about having to readjust to “Texas” weather in a hurry after living in LA for 7 years… I mean who expects 34 degree weather in Texas/Oklahoma in April? Honestly. Boo Frickity Hoo.

This last Friday we played in Chicago. Patrice and I did a radio interview on one of the rock stations and played “Dragonfly” live on the air on acoustic. THAT was fun. Patrice, of course, was asked all about Supernova (as if she had never done anything else), but she handled it like the pro she is, smiling and laughing all the way. She told the story about how Lukas Rossi (the “winner” of the show) would knock on the door and hog the bathroom she shared with Storm to put on his eye make-up. That was good stuff right there.

The opening act in Chicago was Michelle Malone. Vocally she sounded a lot like Beth Hart, but was much more bluesy. And damn that girl can play some slide guitar!!! She’s from Atlanta, but is based in Nashville. If you ever get a chance, check her out.

Had some GREAT food so far – thai food in Kansas City at a place called Blue Koi, spinach sautéed in olive oil in Chicago, and some wonderful conversation with vegetarian spaghetti w/ mushrooms and bell peppers in Lawrence, Kansas.

Day off/travel day today, then 5 in a row starting tomorrow. Stay 2ned for more...

Matthew
