For those of you that missed Pancho’s this last weekend, go ahead and start kicking yourself right now. Man, what a jam! Todd Sucherman was on fire (as if he’s ever not). And we had Taylor Mills sit in for a few songs. She brought the house down. This Friday, it will be the “core” group of Jim Wheeler, Koko Powell, Matt Laug, and myself. Saturday will be another special evening. We will have 2 of the members of Ambrosia sitting in with us - Shem Schroeck on bass and vocals, and Tollak Ollestad on keys and harp, so it should be another can’t miss show.

On a more somber note, last Thursday I attended the memorial benefit for Ty Longley of Great White, who died in the club fire in Rhode Island. It was good to see some old friends, i.e. Jack Russell, Mark Kendall, Sean McNabb, and fans like Gayle Schiller, whom I haven’t seen since the tour, but I wish it had been under lighter circumstances. There was a video presentation with Ty REALLY tearing it up on acoustic. Jack and Mark also performed an acoustic song. Ty’s girlfriend Heidi was there, and you could tell it was really hard on her. Just makes you remember how precious life is, especially me, being just one degree of separation from that horrible day back in February.

Peace/Out

Matthew
